Actress Tia Mowry recently opened up about embracing alone time over the past year since her divorce from Cory Hardrict.
She explained how solitude surprisingly became a positive turning point for personal growth and renewal.
Discovering the Power of Alone Time
Mowry confessed that prior to her divorce, she had never really experienced extended periods alone. Her twin sister, packed work schedule, and family commitments kept her constantly surrounded by others.
Though initially viewing solitude as unfamiliar or even lonely, she deliberately shifted perspective. Through conscious effort, Mowry transformed alone moments into crucial opportunities for self-care and mind/spirit recharging.
She recognized the value of me time in refreshing herself, allowing her to engage more meaningfully with loved ones after rejuvenation.
Using Solitude for Well-Being and Presence
Mowry noted that being alone does not have to be a punishment, but rather a gift we can leverage to maintain balance and wellness. Making time for solitude enabled her to listen to her needs and tend to her inner light.
Now when spending cherished time with family like her two kids, Mowry feels fully present. Taking time to nourish through alone time allows her to pour into relationships from an overflowing cup.
“Through conscious effort, I transformed these moments into a crucial aspect of maintaining my well-being,” she added.
Continuing the Journey with Gratitude
While acknowledging life’s difficulties, Mowry spoke about feeling blessed and incredibly happy this holiday season. Even amidst challenges, she focuses on the gift of togetherness with beautiful family.
Furthermore, Mowry expressed deep gratitude for her supportive community. She credits loved ones for their strength, encouragement and for continually lifting her up along the journey of growth during this transformative year.
