As the Big Apple transforms into a global fashion hub, all eyes are on the talented Black designers set to showcase their Spring/Summer 2025 collections.
Spotlight on Black Design Talent
The official NYFW schedule features an impressive lineup of Black designers ready to make their mark. From established names to rising stars, these creatives are redefining fashion with their unique perspectives and innovative designs.
Sergio Hudson, known for dressing powerful women like Vice President Kamala Harris and Keke Palmer, will present his latest collection of impeccably tailored, feminine pieces. LaQuan Smith, celebrated for his sultry silhouettes and bold designs, is expected to deliver another show-stopping runway presentation.
Other notable Black designers on the roster include A. Potts, Who Decides War, ADVISRY, Off-White, Dur Duox, Dell Scott, Theophilio, Rene Tyler Designs, Tiffany Brown, Sebastian Ami, and Frederick Anderson.
Diversity Takes Center Stage

Innovation and Cultural Influence
Black designers are bringing fresh ideas and cultural richness to the runway. Theophilio’s Caribbean-inspired designs and Sebastian Ami’s “ART WOVEN DESIGN” concept are prime examples of the innovation on display.
ADVISRY, known for blending time periods, aesthetics, and themes, promises to deliver another boundary-pushing collection. Meanwhile, Who Decides War continues to redefine streetwear with its edgy, custom looks.
Empowering Diverse Body Types
Inclusivity is a key theme for many Black designers at NYFW 2024. Rene Tyler, specializing in curvy fashion and full-figured designs, will showcase her latest collection during the Emerge showing. Her work celebrates body diversity and empowers women of all sizes to embrace their style.
Tiffany Brown, the Atlanta-based designer, is expected to present her signature monochromatic looks and feminine designs, catering to a wide range of body types and personal styles.
