Vesterr: Democratizing Commercial Real Estate Investing
Davonne Reaves, a 36-year-old Black hotel owner and real estate investor, has launched Vesterr, a groundbreaking crowdfunding platform.
This innovative platform aims to democratize commercial real estate investing, making it accessible to a wider range of investors, regardless of their financial resources.
Reaves, who co-owns multiple hotels and residential properties totaling $30 million, understands the transformative power of real estate investing.
However, she recognizes that for decades, this lucrative industry has been out of reach for many, particularly those without substantial wealth or experience.
“It’s truly an amazing experience and opportunity, but for decades, it’s been out of reach and limited mostly to those who are extremely wealthy or already experienced in the field,” says Reaves.
Empowering Investors with Minimal Capital
Vesterr’s innovative approach allows accredited and non-accredited investors to participate in commercial real estate securities opportunities, starting with as little as $5,000.
This low entry point opens doors for individuals who may have previously been shut out of the industry due to financial constraints.
Reaves explains, “Think of ‘GoFundMe,’ but for commercial real estate investing. We’re the first Black-owned, first woman-owned crowd-funding platform for commercial real estate to include hotels in the country, and this is just the beginning!”
Diverse Investment Opportunities and Hands-On Experience
Vesterr offers a wide range of investment opportunities, including hotels, multi-family properties, retail spaces, and more. Investors can choose between projects that are more “hands-on” or “hands-off,” catering to their preferences and level of involvement.
Amina James, a client who successfully funded a Holiday Inn in Lake Charles, LA, through Vesterr, praises the platform’s user-friendly interface and extensive support. “When you put a deal on Vesterr, you get great exposure and marketing support too,” she says.
Fostering Inclusivity and Empowerment
Reaves’ mission extends beyond financial gains; she aims to create opportunities for those who have traditionally felt excluded from the commercial real estate industry, such as women, people of color, and young individuals.
“This platform is really about creating opportunities for all, but I also want it to provide a space for those who have not traditionally felt welcome or included in this industry,” Reaves explains.
Inspiring Others to Achieve the American Dream
Reaves’ own journey, from a little Black girl growing up in the South to becoming a successful hotel owner and real estate investor, serves as an inspiration. Through Vesterr, she hopes to empower others to pursue their dreams and achieve financial independence through real estate investing.
“Whether you’re an owner or developer or an experienced investor, Vesterr can assist to make it attainable for you to get funding and add commercial real estate assets to your portfolio. You can have your part of the American dream!” Reaves exclaims.
With Vesterr, Davonne Reaves is revolutionizing the commercial real estate industry, making it more accessible, inclusive, and empowering for aspiring investors from all walks of life.
