Beyoncé is making waves in the cowboy world again. The famous singer just gave a huge sum of money to support Black riders and ranchers. This move is part of her new focus on country music and cowboy culture.
BeyGood’s Big Gift to Black Equestrians
Beyoncé’s charity, BeyGood, handed out $500,000 at a big rodeo event. The money will start a new program called Black Equestrians. This program will help Black horse riders and ranchers.
The gift was given at the Bill Picket Rodeo in Atlanta. This rodeo is known for celebrating Black cowboys and cowgirls. BeyGood also gave $25,000 to four other groups that support Black farmers and cowboy culture.
Boosting Black Cowboy Heritage
This big donation comes as Beyoncé dives into country music. Her new album, “Cowboy Carter,” has put Black cowboys in the spotlight. It reminds everyone that Black people have always been part of cowboy history.
“We’re thrilled to support these riders and ranchers,” said a BeyGood spokesperson. “It’s time to show the world the rich heritage of Black cowboys and cowgirls.”
The money will help teach young Black people about farming and horse riding. It will also support events that celebrate Black cowboy culture.
Beyoncé’s Country Music Journey
Beyoncé’s interest in cowboys isn’t new. She grew up in Texas, where cowboy culture is strong. Now, she’s using her fame to show that country music belongs to Black artists too.
Her song “Texas Hold ‘Em” is a big hit. It’s helping more people see that Black artists have always been part of country music. Beyoncé even wore a cowboy hat in a recent TV ad for the Olympics.
BeyGood’s Wide-Ranging Support
This isn’t the only way Beyoncé helps the Black community. BeyGood has given money to many causes. They’ve helped Black-owned hair salons and beauty schools. They’ve also supported Black business owners and helped after natural disasters.
“We want to lift up Black communities in many ways,” the BeyGood team said. “From cowboys to hairstylists, we’re here to help.”
