Grammy-nominated artist Coco Jones will headline the entertainment lineup at the College Football Playoff National Championship. The January 20 matchup between Ohio State and Notre Dame promises a celebration of Atlanta’s rich cultural heritage.
Star-Studded Pre-Game Performance Lineup
Coco Jones will perform the national anthem alongside renowned musician Adam Blackstone. Their performance will follow the Spelman College Glee Club’s rendition of “America the Beautiful” during its centennial year.
A Joint Armed Forces Color Guard will present military flags. Local volunteers will unfurl a massive American flag, highlighting community involvement.
Inclusive Entertainment Showcases Local Talent
Two students from Atlanta Area School for the Deaf will provide ASL interpretations. Johrgia Peaches, 14, will sign “America the Beautiful,” while Alexander Charlot, 20, interprets the national anthem.
The school serves over 110 Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students from 27 metro Atlanta districts. Both universities’ marching bands will perform before the game and during halftime.
Historic MLK Day Celebration
Dr. Bernice A. King, daughter of Civil Rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., will conduct the coin toss. She serves as CEO of The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium will host the event starting at 7:30 p.m. ET. Michael T. Fiur Productions will oversee all entertainment segments throughout the evening.
