Serena Williams, the tennis legend and style icon, has added another feather to her cap with the launch of her highly anticipated beauty brand, WYN Beauty.
In an exclusive interview with Byrdie, Williams unveiled her personal passion project, a clean and inspiring beauty line that reflects her authenticity and celebrates her journey.
“WYN Beauty is an extremely personal undertaking. It’s a brand that’s evolved from my lifelong passion for makeup, and the entire collection is authentic to who I am—from the clean formulas to the inspiring shade names to the chartreuse packaging that pays homage to my career in tennis,” expressed the icon.
A Beauty Journey Evolving Over Time
Williams, who announced her retirement from professional tennis, embraces this new chapter as the next evolution of her beauty journey.
“My personal best has changed over the years, and WYN Beauty is the next evolution of my beauty journey,” she shared, underscoring her commitment to growth and self-discovery.

Throughout her illustrious career, Williams has been a trailblazer, defying conventions and embracing her unique identity. “I never wanted to fit into a box,” she stated.
“I don’t look like anyone else and never will. I was one of the first athletes [in tennis] that had a differently shaped body. I felt I’ve pioneered in so many different ways, so I wanted to include beauty in that.”

As a mother of two daughters, Williams hopes to inspire them to embrace their authentic selves and pursue their diverse passions fearlessly.
“I want my daughters to look at my career and learn that being authentic to themselves is really the most important thing,” she shared.
“You don’t have to be the best as long as you do your best. I also hope my daughters see how many different passions I have—from tennis to beauty—and learn that they can lead dynamic careers and lives across their many interests.”
