Entertainment Icon Reclaims Musical Spotlight with Mellian Music
Vanessa Williams, the legendary multitalented performer, is embarking on an exciting new chapter in her illustrious career with the launch of her own record label, Mellian Music.
After a 15-year hiatus from the music industry, Williams is set to release her first non-seasonal album, marking a triumphant return to the recording studio.
In a bold move that exemplifies her entrepreneurial spirit, Williams has established Mellian Music and signed a joint venture agreement with Mod Squad, LLC, GoDigiPath, LLC, and ADA Worldwide, Warner Music Group’s independent label and artist services arm.
This strategic partnership allows Williams to take creative control and shape the direction of her music career on her own terms.
“Legs (Keep Dancing)”: The First Single from the Upcoming Album
Kicking off her musical resurgence, Williams is gearing up to release the first single, “Legs (Keep Dancing),” on April 26th.
Co-written by renowned songwriters Chantry Johnson, Kjersti Long, and Kipper Jones, the track promises to be a dance-worthy anthem that showcases Williams’ vocal prowess.
“What a joy it is to be making new music behind the mike again with old friends,” Williams expressed. “Every challenge is exciting, and more new music to share with my fans is the fuel that lights my fire.”
A Multifaceted Talent Continues to Shine
While music takes center stage, Williams’ remarkable versatility extends far beyond the recording studio. She is currently in rehearsals for the West End stage production of “The Devil Wears Prada,” where she will portray the iconic fashion mogul Miranda Priestly.
Additionally, Williams is part of the producer team for the upcoming Broadway musical “A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical,” further cementing her status as a multifaceted entertainer.

With over 212 million digital streams, eight albums, and six RIAA-certified gold or platinum albums and singles to her credit, Williams’ musical legacy is undeniable.
Her impressive 13 Grammy Award nominations, including nods for Best New Artist and Record of the Year, solidify her place among the industry’s elite.
