Glowing Mom-To-Be Stuns on the Red Carpet
Candiace Dillard Bassett made jaws drop on the red carpet as she debuted her baby bump in a showstopping look at the annual “GRAMMYs On The Hill” event in Washington D.C. on Tuesday.
The 37-year-old singer and former “Real Housewives of Potomac” star radiated in a bold red, body-hugging gown that perfectly highlighted her blossoming bump. The off-the-shoulder stunner featured a single sleeve adorned with rhinestones and ruching that accentuated her curves.
“Candiace’s dress was one-sleeve and off-the-shoulder with a rhinestone strap and slight ruching. The garment fit the reality star like a glove,” one reporter gushed.
Pregnancy Glow After Fertility Journey
Bassett was absolutely glowing as she cradled her belly on the red carpet – no surprise given her joyful pregnancy news just two weeks ago. The mom-to-be revealed to Entertainment Tonight that she’s “about 13 weeks” along after undergoing IVF in January.
“I kind of woke up and realized that I was never going to be 100 percent ready. I just had to…trust the process and trust my doctors and stop being afraid and just do it,” she told the outlet about taking the leap.
Fans watched Candiace’s emotional fertility journey unfold on “RHOP,” including her decision with husband Chris Bassett to freeze embryos via IVF treatments. This baby will be their first child together.
Hosting Duties at Music Advocacy Event
The glamorous red carpet moment kicked off Bassett’s hosting duties at the GRAMMYs on the Hill Awards, an annual celebration bringing together lawmakers and musicians to advocate for creators’ rights.
Country icon Sheryl Crow and Senators John Cornyn and Amy Klobuchar were among the night’s honorees recognized for their music advocacy work. Bassett looked every bit the radiant host in her eye-catching maternity look.
With her reunion show days behind her, this fabulous mom-to-be appearance marks an exciting new chapter for the multi-talented star as she prepares for motherhood and fresh opportunities ahead.
