A New Addition to the Curry Clan
Ayesha and Stephen Curry, the power couple, have welcomed their fourth child, a baby boy named Caius Chai. The proud parents took to Instagram on Sunday, May 26, to share the joyous news with their fans and followers.
Steph, the NBA star, posted a heartwarming black-and-white photo of someone holding the newborn’s tiny hand, captioning it with the words, “Our sweet baby boy decided to make an early arrival!! He’s doing great and we are finally settling in at home as a family of 6! So grateful! Caius Chai 5/11/24.”
An Early Arrival and a Unique Name
The couple’s son, Caius Chai, was born on May 11, earlier than expected. Ayesha, the culinary entrepreneur, had previously announced her pregnancy in March, gracing the cover of her magazine, Sweet July.
In the feature article, she expressed her and Stephen’s mutual desire for another child to complete their family. Caius Chai joins older siblings Riley Elizabeth, 11, Ryan Carson, 8, and Canon W. Jack, 5.
Completing the Curry Crew
“Getting to experience this through [Canon’s] eyes and through Ryan and Riley’s eyes has been so cool,” Ayesha shared in her announcement essay. “Their perspectives are so different, and it’s been the most exciting thing.”
While Ayesha’s social media accounts were filled with pre-scheduled professional posts, she did share a candid photo from a Mother’s Day hike with her daughter Ryan, just days before Caius’ arrival, hinting at the impending new chapter in their lives.
Planning Around the NBA Star’s Schedule
“Steph also recently told the Associated Press that he and Ayesha tried to plan their newest child’s birth around the NBA star’s Paris Olympics debut,” according to reports.
The Currys, who have been married since 2011, have seamlessly blended their family life with their successful careers, and the arrival of Caius Chai is undoubtedly a cherished addition to their loving household.
