BBBS Unveils New Game Changers to Inspire Young Girls
BBBS has chosen a group of successful women to be Game Changers. These women are leaders in their fields. They will share their stories and offer mentorship to young girls. The goal is to show girls that they can achieve great things too.
The new Game Changers include Eden Bridgeman, La La Anthony, Gayle King, Lexi Underwood, Gabrielle Union, Jeannie Mai, and Sybil Wilkes. These women will take part in activities like “Big for a Day” to connect with and inspire girls.
Eden Bridgeman Shares Her Vision on Mentorship
Eden Bridgeman, a key figure in this initiative, speaks about the importance of mentoring. She says, “Mentorship is the bridge that connects experience to potential.” Bridgeman believes mentoring is about more than just giving advice.
“It’s about empowering others to see their own strengths,” Bridgeman explains. She sees mentorship as a two-way street where both mentor and mentee grow together. Her words highlight the deep impact mentoring can have on young lives.
Game Changers Reflect on the Power of Mentorship
Other Game Changers also share their thoughts on mentoring. Sybil Wilkes, co-host of the Tom Joyner Morning Show, points out that mentorship can happen anytime, anywhere. She believes mentoring can occur even without the mentor knowing it.
Actress and singer Lexi Underwood talks about how mentoring shaped her life. She wants to pay it forward as a Game Changer. Underwood stresses the importance of consistent guidance and support in helping someone reach their full potential.
BBBS’s Vision: “If You Can See It, You Can Be It”
BBBS’s Game Changers program follows the motto “If you can see it, you can be it.” This idea drives their efforts to connect successful women with young girls. By seeing these accomplished women, girls can imagine similar success for themselves.
The program aims to build real connections between mentors and mentees. Through sharing experiences and offering guidance, Game Changers hope to open doors for young girls. They want to show that with hard work and support, girls can achieve their dreams.
