Prestigious National Recognition for Remarkable Leadership
Iam C. Tucker, President and CEO of Integrated Logistical Support Incorporated (ILSI), has been named the National Small Business Person of the Year for 2024 by the U.S.
Small Business Administration (SBA). This prestigious award recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate exceptional leadership and create sustainable, thriving businesses in their communities.
During National Small Business Week (NSBW) celebrations, SBA Administrator Isabel Casillas Guzman honored Tucker and other outstanding small business leaders for their incredible efforts. At the NSBW awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., Guzman commended Tucker, saying:

A Resilient Journey of Remarkable Growth
As a second-generation owner of ILSI for over fifteen years, Tucker has overseen tremendous business growth in the engineering field. Under her leadership, ILSI has grown from nine employees to fifty, with a revenue of over $2.7 million. The company has secured more than one hundred contract awards across various state, local, and federal agencies.
Tucker’s resilience and resourcefulness have been crucial in ensuring ILSI’s continued success. A graduate of the SBA’s 8(a) Business Development Program for government contractors, she has leveraged financial assistance available through SBA loan programs to expand the company’s capabilities and clientele both locally and nationally.

The recognition of Tucker’s achievements comes as the Biden-Harris Administration celebrates the unprecedented growth of entrepreneurship in the United States.
With sixteen million new business applications since taking office, the administration highlights the dynamism and innovation that American entrepreneurs bring to local communities.
Administrator Guzman emphasized the vital role small businesses play in driving economic prosperity, stating:
