Growing up engrossed in politics as the daughter of educators and surrounded by trailblazing female role models, Parks initially dreamed of following their path. She set her sights on a law degree as preparation for public office.

However, her trajectory changed course as she discovered her passion for entertainment law while putting herself through school. Parks built up her boutique firm over 20 successful years, also becoming a savvy serial investor and entrepreneur.
She attributes her business acumen to the financial literacy instilled by mentors who taught her to create passive income streams and generational wealth. As she notes,
“If you don’t have in your circle people who are smarter than you, more wealthy than you, you’re in the wrong circle.”
Giving Back Through Advocacy and Uplifting Other Attorneys
Despite her professional success, Parks has stayed grounded by giving back. She was involved in social justice advocacy long before it became mainstream. Her nonprofit works to increase minority representation in law through scholarships.
Parks also pays it forward by mentoring up-and-coming attorneys from her alma mater. As she says, “To whom much is given, much is required.”
Full Circle Return to Limelight on Own Terms
After stepping back from reality TV, Parks made a triumphant return on her own terms through a role on Married to Medicine. She calls the new show a “match made in heaven” that respects her as a professional while letting her personality shine.
While fans may miss her drama-stirring days, Parks makes no apologies for how she has grown. As she says, “Life is about evolving and reinvention.” Judging by her continual upward trajectory, there are surely more awe-inspiring chapters still to come.
