Historic Partnership with Global Athletes
Tronus, the first Black woman-owned sneaker brand launched by a female athlete, has made history by becoming the first female-owned company to sponsor seven global flag football champions.
The brand, owned by athlete Santia Deck and her mother Cynthia Cureton-Robles, recently expanded into sports-focused Active Recovery Slides.
Combating Injury through Innovative Recovery Footwear
Coming from an athletic family, Tronus’ founders witnessed many careers cut short due to overuse injuries and lack of recovery. They pledged to tackle this issue head-on, focusing initially on the rapidly growing sport of flag football.
“Their sturdy shock-absorbing soles cushion the foot and protect it from high impact, reducing joint stress,” said Dr. Kevin Flythe, a renowned sports rehabilitation specialist endorsing Tronus Slides.
Stellar Athlete Roster Joins the Movement
Tronus has partnered with esteemed athletes Darrell Doucette, Laval Davis, Dana Taylor, Kamrin Solomon, Shawn Theard Jr., Corey Webb, and Lucie Vinot of France’s national flag football team – all members of championship-winning teams.
A Mother-Daughter Mission to Empower Athletes
“This collaboration redefines recovery footwear standards and supports athletes from grassroots to pro,” said Cynthia Cureton-Robles, Tronus COO/Co-Founder. Santia Deck, CEO/Co-Founder and former elite flag footballer, added, “Our partnership empowers athletes in this fast-growing sport.”
Santia’s viral videos showcasing her Barry Sanders-esque running style propelled her to global fame with over 3 million social media followers, inspiring Tronus’ mission.
Promoting Athlete Health and Recovery
Beyond sponsorships, Tronus aims to highlight recovery’s importance in athletes’ routines, inspiring young athletes nationwide to prioritize health. The brand will launch initiatives showcasing its Active Recovery Slides and cushioned athletic footwear.
Through innovative recovery footwear and a mother-daughter’s passion, Tronus is revolutionizing the sneaker industry while supporting athlete longevity from the grassroots up.
