This was accompanied by a message detailing her experiences working in her mother Tina’s hair salon growing up.
While full product and brand details remain scarce for now, the Cécred Instagram page describes an approach combining “science” and “ritual.” The name itself means “sacred” in French, representing how important hair is in Black culture.
Connecting To Her Roots & Community
In both video teasers, Beyoncé emphasizes how her mother Tina’s Houston hair salon Headliners played a crucial role in shaping her understanding of beauty and the community around Black haircare.
She shares childhood home footage from the salon interspersed with videos of women having their hair styled. This symbolizes the inspiration she drew from seeing so many strong female entrepreneurs and role models coming to her mother’s business.
As she told Harper’s Bazaar, that early exposure gave her insight into how much emotions and identity connect to Black women’s hair. She now wants to build an inclusive community and space to empower women through Cécred.
Brand Launch On February 20th
While full details remain undisclosed, fans now have a launch date to mark. Beyoncé’s new haircare brand Cécred will officially debut its lineup on February 20th, 2023.
