Identical Twins, Identical Academic Prowess
Llayna and Saniah Maul, identical twin sisters from Tallahassee, Florida, have achieved an extraordinary feat by graduating as Valedictorian and Salutatorian, respectively, from Godby High School.
Their remarkable academic success is a testament to their unwavering dedication and respect for education.
“It’s just been both of us trying really hard at school,” Llayna, the Valedictorian, told WTXL.
Crediting Educators and a Supportive Environment
The Maul twins attribute their accomplishments to the unwavering support of their teachers and the educational opportunities provided to them. They understand the value of education and the commitment of their educators, which has fueled their drive to excel.
“They’re dedicating their lives to be able to teach you,” Llayna remarked. “It’s worthwhile to just focus and pay attention and really put forth that effort to make them proud.”
A Head Start on Higher Education
In preparation for their collegiate journey, Llayna and Saniah have already begun taking college-level courses at Tallahassee Community College. This head start not only demonstrates their eagerness to learn but also their commitment to being the best versions of themselves.
“I don’t work for the A or the high GPA, I work just so I can be the best I can be,” Saniah, the Salutatorian, expressed.
A Legacy of Educational Excellence
The twins’ mother, Annie Leonard, herself a Godby High School alumna, instilled a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for education in her children from a young age. She ensured that her daughters had every opportunity to thrive, carrying on a family legacy of academic excellence.
“My daughters are wonderful, but they’re doing what anybody can do with support,” Leonard proudly stated.
Multifaceted Talents and Bright Futures
Beyond their academic achievements, Llayna and Saniah have also excelled in extracurricular activities, including theater and community service.
