Special Guest: Dee Barnes

This week’s special guest on Ep. 7 is pioneering hip hop journalist Dee Barnes. She joins Beverly Bond and co-hosts Raqiyah Mays and Michaela Angela Davis to share her journey as a hip hop journalist in the ’90s hosting the iconic TV show “Pump It Up,” to being abused by Dr. Dre, blacklisted for speaking up about it, and forced into homelessness as a result. Now with a book deal offer from Wendy Williams, Dee focuses on her legacy and bouncing back.
